Phase 1: Pain Relief

physio working on young patient

The initial reason many of our patients seek care is pain. This phase of care begins with a comprehensive neuromuscluloskeletal exam with the a goal of reaching an accurate diagnosis of your problem or condition. This will include orthopedic testing, neurological exam, as well as a movement screen in addition to any other specific tests or assessments the doctor may feel is helpful in coming up with an accurate diagnosis.

During this phase of treatment the doctor and staff will apply therapeutic modalities to help reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and loosen tight muscles. This may include but is not limited to: heat, cold, specific exercises and stretches to do at home, e-stim, combo care, cupping, manual stretching, trigger point therapy, and various other soft tissue therapies and techniques. In addition to the modalities, manipulations or “adjustments” may be performed to the joint to help restore normal motion and posture. By using this combination of therapies we are able to get you better faster. Many of our patients are pain free in 6 visits or less!
